Bengaluru Apr.19 Autobiography of former prime minister and JDS national president Mr. HD Devegowda will hit the book stands in the last week of May. According to the party sources, Mr. Gowda is giving final touch to his auto biography now. "He is in Mysuru to give final touch to the book. He started writing the book two years ago,' said a party leader. "This autobiography expected to given colour ful political developments of state and country of 1970's, 80's and early 90's when there was no TV channels and state witnessed several interesting political developments. It will give answer to his political battle with former CM Mr. Ramakrishna Hegade," said a party leader.

By election result impact: AICC may continue Dr. GP as KPCC president till 2018 assembly election

Bengaluru Apr.14 Till Thursday, April 13, it was assumed that home minister Mr. G Parameshwar (GP) may loose his KPCC president post which he is holding since 2012 any time. It was also assumed that energy minister Mr. DK Shivakumar might be appointed as the new KPCC president to ensure that party will get sizable amount of Vokkaliga votes in the 2018 assembly election. But following the by election results in which party has able to retain both the seats even after aggressive campaign by BJP state president Mr. BS Yeddyurappa, AICC reportedly re-thinking about its strategy. If sources are to be believed, Dr. GP may be continued as the KPCC president as part of party's strategy to strengthen its core vote base of AHINDA. "If party had lost even a single seat in by election, Dr. GP would have replaced immediately. But now it is decided against the change in the KPCC leadership," sources confirmed.

On Thursday, he was defeated in the by election by whooping margin of 21,334 votes against Congress candidate Mr. Kalale Keshava Murthy. Parents' protests against hike in school fee yields positive result

Bengaluru: Following the protest launched by the parents group under the banner 'Voice Against Private School Fee Hike in Bengaluru', private CBSE and ICSE schools in the city have decided to cap the annual fee hike at 10%. A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the school managements held recently. According to the sources, a decision in this regard was taken on April 7 at a special Annual General Meeting (AGM) of combined association of ICSE and CBSE schools in Karnataka. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Mohan Manghnani, President of ICSE Schools Association and Chairman of New Horizon Educational Institution. Govt fixes Rs 130 per month as cable service charges, cable operators refuse to tow policy lines

SHRIVIBHAVANA Bengaluru: One of the major announcements made by the state government in the budget session was that from April onwards, the cable service charges per month will be capped at Rs.130. But in Bengaluru, cable operators have openly violating the government direction in this regard and have been collecting Rs.300 month per month.   According to the state government announcement, across the state, cable charges per month will be capped at Rs.130 following the complains that few cable operators are exploiting the viewers. Few law makers also alleged that cable operators are supplying Made in China set top boxes and are earning huge commission. Following these charges, state government issued directions that monthly cable fee would be capped at Rs.130 per connection. But in Bengaluru, cable operators continue to charge Rs.300 per month.
