With JDS losing its Muslim vote bank for Congress, the party has decided that at the present scenario best option for the party to survive in the state is joining hands with BJP.
In the 2019 Loksabha election JDS won only one seat. The party contested along with Congress. This time party is eyeing around 6 seats.
"If BJP and JDS join hands together it is not difficult to defeat Congress," said a JDS leader.
